L'Ajuntament de l'Ampolla joins Kids School project
On 23 July and 20 August, the City Council collaborated in the promotion of the Kids School project, recently promoted internationally by AZ Trading with the collaboration of IGFA (USA). The aim of this project is to teach children about respect for the sea, rivers and the species that inhabit them and, more specifically, about the defence of more responsible fishing. These sessions were attended by children from the Ampolla summer campus, who were very attentive to the explanations given by AZ Trading experts and learned how to protect the sea from plastics, plastic, plastic fishing gear and the damage that their misuse causes to our oceans and the marine species that inhabit them, thus acquiring the basic knowledge of responsible and ethical fishing practices. There were also demonstrations of the different types of fishing lines, hams and fishing equipment, in order to introduce our young sailors to the beautiful world of this activity. Finally, all of them were able to practice at the fishing port how to tie a fishing rod by pulling on different skiffs. At the end, the assistants were given a gift for their attention during the day. We hope that this type of project will reach many children and thus encourage respect for the sea and rivers and together build a cleaner planet!
